Xmas celebration
Absolutely enjoyed my xmas this yr...all thks to derrick's invitation to his hse...had driving in the morning dat day b4 meeting tian and tse hui to shop for sushi ingredients...had lotsa fun making e sushi...oh ya, forgt to take e pictures so cannt post up....aniwae we made crabstick, tuna and unagi sushi...
some funny things happen during the sushi making process....derrick commented, huh need to cook e rice and crabstick mei? this puts mi and tian luffing like no one business...although he is clueless abt making sushi, i muz gif him *** for his enthusiasm...also tink he is quite gd at making e rice mould...most of it seems to stick together, so unlike e 1st time i made sushi...tink perhaps he gt greater strength so e pressure he exert is great enuff to keep the rice intact...of coz there r times where e rice mould is nt intact lar...but w tzehui as the QC coz she is the one putting e seaweed ard the rice, the resulting sushi that were made r all properly made one although derrick did mentioned that it is ok for it to b loose a bit...haha...oh ya e crabmeat is minced by derrick one, but e queashy look quite of turn mi off so i din consume it at all, haha...so wat did tian and mi do? basically we prepared the ingredients required like cooking the rice etc and tian cut the seaweed while i put in the fillings after tzehui wrapped the sushi ard the rice mould prepared by derrick...derrick was quite full after e sushi making COZ...he ate e "rejected sushi-s"...but tink he is more than willing to eat the rej unagi sushi...lolx....
after preparing the sushi, we ate curry which was kindly prepared by his mum, hehe of coz i gif the chicken to derrick but w/o his consent...still he ate it=b though he did grumble a bit how being full lar...after which we played w his hamster while waiting for the guys to arrive...guess wat name is his hamster? It is 881(in hokkien)...i dun believe him so i asked if it will reply if i called out "881" but sadly i was told by tian and derrick that hamster wun reply one coz they dun rem things one...aniwae i tink his hamster is v scared of us coz like keep hiding frm us when derrick took it out....at 1st it look at us w its big eyes when we peeked into its cage...super adorable....tian told us that her mum asked her cousin's hamster (when they took care of it while her cousin family was away for holidays)whether it wanted to come and play, like coaxing a small baby like dat...so funny lor...
it was games after e guys arrive...it includes uno, taboo, polar bear, heart attack and risk...oh ya, they did played tai-ti also but i din joined coz i din noe how to played and i was buz cutting the turkey for them to eat...hehe, tzehui sd my cutting skills is nt bad..haha, wondering if it is coz of SMU finishing touch module or coz i juz anihow follow how i c those pple do it....bk to games, actually i enjoyed taboo most esp when derrick sd it for all of us to guess...like super hilarous coz of the hints he gv....he seems to like to say "ka-bong" alot....risk was ok but to b frank i still dun realli noe how to play..haa....after that, i went to slp liao while the rest continue to play and watch horror shows....but i can b considered quite gd liao...coz i can tahan till 4plus...alr a great achievement le....though i was saddled w black eyes e nxt morning due to lack of slp....
Oh ya, we also hv our gift xchange at 12 midnight....everyone almost gt the gift that fits them except one...derrick gt a "jiayou" toy, tzehui gt royce chocolates, melvin gt a thumbdrive, tian gt biscuits (forgt wat is e flavour), kerwei gt chocolates too...i gt a winnie e pooh bottle while keegan gt a lipgloss...keke...e bottle is i wrapped for derrick one haa and e night b4, he did sd dat he hoped i gt it coz the present suits mi...lolx, such a coincidence.....
to sum it all, it was a tiring but fun day....well still better to hv enuff slp, coz i tink my immune system is nt v strong, e flu bug invaded mi e v nxt day but luckily i hv more or less recovered after taking e tablets....my stomach is still giving mi problems...nt too sure why also, hope it is juz some minor irritation...ok lar, it is such a looong post, hope that nxt yr xmas will b as fun...to end off, Happy Boxing Day everyone and hope u had a merry xmas yest
