Things changes
One of A11 commented to me that she feels that she had actually learnt a lot since when she just started. True, I agree with her...yes, our job is challenging...well probably too challening till that most of us r worn out...
We have to understand e most complex things in probably 2 days e most and get it done in by the next 2 days e most...as most had knew, the learning curve is steep, like almost a vertical straight line...and actually wat i dislike most is e lack of time....rush, rush and rush, totally frantic...so most of us hv learnt e nike way...dun think so much, JUZ DO IT...dun understand what e client is talking abt? JUZ document first and look at it later...
as the managers will rush e snrs, e snrs will rush e assistants...juz like a domino effect...i guess e thing that varies is e extent that e snrs will push and rush...like a rubber band, stretch and stretch...for those rubber bands that snap, it is time to bid farewell...one of my ex-snr once told me, managers r like pets, they need to be fed often...if not, they will make noise...totally unrelated analogy but yet ironically apt description...
I rem hving engagements that require me to finish my sessions in 3days and clear the review pts in 2 days...so that it meet e one wk dateline...meeting expectation, yet can be done better....hence it was an avg ME grade, instead of a high ME grade...efforts not recognised? well all i can say is that probably e snr expects more, the interim shld hv been better done....shld hv completed all, even though i was only booked for a day to do all e same parts as finals....to be frank, e grading is not a low ME, can be considered slightly above avg ME...just that somehow, got a feeling of not being appreciated...wat make it worse is the policy change...i guess is a take or leave issue...
well it doesnt really matter now...coz perception changes...coz it is wrk...so to answer my A11, how hv i changed? maybe i hv become more cynical and more pessimistic...yes, no doubt i hv learnt...how can i not to, when i m given quite a couple engagements that r in the "challenging" list...accept my fate? haha, we shall wait and see
e motto of my life: strive for happiness=)
