Wishing for....

Somehow my current client makes me feel like gg back schooling again...but i dun wan to apply for NIE now unless no choice...coz i wan to try out the corporate world...like that i will hv experiences to share w my students...idealistic?

Perhaps bar, but i really enjoy listening to funny experiences of my teachers...it juz make what i am learning more relevant and more in tune to the working world...also i feel that i am not ready to teach now...i always tell myself if i can handle nasty clients, i shld be able to cope w those parents who are considered by others as the "demanding" ones...maybe it is different in some aspects but e feel is abt e same...

my senior asked me if someone who say he/she is a teacher compared to one who say he/she is an auditor, what is e reaction that i would give...well, i simply told him that if one told me he/she is an auditor, i will say "oh ok" and not ask anything else more...on the other hand, a teacher i will go on to ask where he/she teaching, what subj, which level etc etc....i dun think e answer is surprising coz there is alot of things that an auditor cant say so there is no need to ask abt work...maybe i will ask how is life though i forsee e answer would be "busy", "tired", somehow along that line...and given in e same position, i know that how challenging it can get at times alr, so i wun be interested lor...my colleagues and i usually meet to grumble and relieve our frustrations...but that is coz we want to make ourselves feel better given that we can understand each other better being in e same position...

so my senior went on to ask, so pple will regard teachers higher than auditors lar...hmm, i smiled and say " i din say that...all i want to say is that teachers r quite wei da coz they r spreading their knowledge to the future pillars"...which is true....haha, but my snr says that auditors r value adding their client too...though i personally feel that most client dun feel this way...i dun blame them coz there is a long time misconception that we are trying to find fault w them which we are not actually...we r just trying to ensure that they adhere to standards...yes, there are exceptions...however, doesnt exceptions mean that there shld be good underlying reason for it? so i dun see e case for any worry in those exception cases...well, most feel that we r disturbing them and adding on to their workload bar...so it is different perceptions....well actually our main objective to gain reasonable assurance that the numbers r true and fair...also to help them identify possible inprovements for the client...if that is considered nit-picking, then i have nothing to say

nonetheless, my gut feel tells me that i am more suitable for either e govt or education sector as i do value work life balance a lot...i work hard but yet at e same time, i want to play hard too...maybe i am too used to SMU's culture...i need more guidance in my direction of life!!!
